PRESENT POSITION:
R. Victor Haas, Jr. is President of Haas Business Valuation Services Inc. In this capacity, he is responsible for all aspects of the work product. He supervises all stages of the business valuation process and all accounting services work.
His experience in business valuation includes common stock, preferred stock, and business enterprises. Mr. Haas has provided valuations for estate planning, buy-sell agreements and corporate redemptions, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), and in the service of advising buyers and sellers of closely-held businesses. He works with business owners to create value in their companies as part of the exit-planning process. His appraisals have been used in the areas of dissenting shareholder litigation, bankruptcy, quantification of damages and lost profits, lender liability, and marital dissolution.
EDUCATION:
Mr. Haas has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, with concentration in finance and accounting. He also has a Master's degree from the University of Chicago and a Bachelor's degree from Trinity College.
EXPERIENCE:
Prior to the incorporation of Haas Business Valuation Services Inc., Mr. Haas was Vice-President and Senior Business Analyst for a Philadelphia-based valuation firm. In that capacity, he functioned from 1987 to 1990 as a project manager/senior analyst responsible for the financial analysis, economic analysis, and valuation of privately-held companies.
Mr. Haas was employed from 1981 to 1987 by Fidelity Bank as head of the Business Valuation Department and as a middle market lending officer.
From 1977 to 1980, Mr. Haas was employed as a Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen and Company.

Mr. Haas has qualified as an expert witness and frequently provides testimony at both the federal level and in courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia.
COURT APPOINTMENTS:
Mr. Haas has been appointed in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware to value closely-held businesses and perform accounting services.
LECTURES, SEMINARS, AND PUBLICATIONS:
Mr. Haas has been invited to teach business valuation courses and speak before legal, estate planning, and public accounting professional organizations. He has designed business valuation software in conjunction with a nationally-known estate planning attorney. Articles on business valuation authored by Mr. Haas have been published in professional and trade publications. Mr. Haas has authored and updated various portions of Valuation Strategies in Divorce. He has also been interviewed on television and radio regarding business valuation issues.
